Keali‘i Reichel has been at the forefront in the revival and perpetuation of Hawaiian culture. He is a world class performer, best-selling recording artist, multiple award-winning kumu hula, prolific composer, renowned chanter, choreographer, dancer, crafter, scholar and teacher.

In 2011 he was inducted into the Hawaiian Music Hall of Fame. That same year he completed a Disney Aulani Resort commission to create site-specific songs and chants which play throughout the hotel. He has received Grammy nominations for his 2004 CD Ke`alaokamaile and his 2015 release Kawaiokalena. He is currently raising funds to build a hula school for his Halau Ke`alaokamaile on the slopes of Haleakala.
